On the 1920 U. S. Census of Wichita, Sedgwick Co., Kansas, Claude A. Mc Millen
appears with his wife Ida M. and daughters Eleanor and Josphine. C laude's occupation
is keeper of a garage.
Obituary from Wichita Eagle, December 14, 1940: Claude M'Millen, Six M onths
Illness Is Fatal to World War Veteran. Claude McMillen, 51, a res ident of the
Kingman and Goddard communities all of his life, died late F riday in a local
hospital after a six months illness. Mr. McMillen was b orn in Kingman county,
October 15, 1889. At the time of his death he r esided on Route 2, Goddard.
He was a member of the Baptist church and o f the American Legion of Clearwater.
He was a veteran of the World war . Surviving are his wife, Clara; two daughters,
Eleanor, New York City , and Mrs. Jospehine Gray, Portland, Me.; one step-daughter,
Miss Louis e McMillen, Goddard; one brother, Carl J. McMillen, Wichita; one sister
M rs, Bertha Bohanon, Wichita; his father, Joseph McMillen, Goddard; and o ne
grandson Guy Gray, Jr. Funeral services will be held at the Byrd-Sn odgrass
funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Clearwater. He was married
to Ida May Woolworth on 13 May 1911 in Sedgwick Co., Kansas.

May McMillen, 40, 1925 Maple, died in a local hospital Saturday . She had been
a teacher in a number of country schools near here for t he past 11 years. She
was a member of the Presbyterian church. Mrs. M cMillen is survived by her husband,
C. A., her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ern est Woolworth, Route 2, two daughters, Eleanor
and Josephine, five sist ers Mrs. L. A. Ottaway, Route 2, Mrs. Frank Davis, Wichita,
Mrs. Basil W hatty, Route 2, Mrs. Leland Armstrong, Maize and Miss Irene Woolworth,
W ichita and three brothers, Ernest and Allan Woolworth, both of Route 2 , and
Frank Woolworth, Wichita. Downing mortuary is in charge. Claude Alva McMillen
and Ida May Woolworth had the following children:
