Alvira Adelaide Gillham was born 21 May 1821 at her parents' homestead f our miles north of Winchester, Illinois. She died at Shenandoah, Fremo nt County, Iowa 21 April 1885. She married Robert Morrison who was the s on of John and Mary (McCorkle) Morrison. He was born 12 December 1811 a t Bath City in Greenbriar County, West Virginia and died at Shennandoah , Iowa, 27 June 1889. He and Alvira Adelaide were married 8 December 1 836 in Scott County, Illinois, at the home of her father. The Morrison s were Methodists and are buried in the Locust Grove Cemetery some four teen miles south of Shennandoah, Iowa. Mr. Morrison was a merchant.

She was married to Robert Morrison (son of John Morrison and Mary McCorkle) on 8 Dec 1836 in Morgan Co., Illinois.⁽²⁵⁾ Robert Morrison was born on 12 Dec 1811 in Bath City, Greenbriar Co., WV. He died on 27 Jun 1889 in Shenandoah, Fremont Co., IA. Alvira Adelaide Gillham and Robert Morrison had the following children:
