H e is buried at the Masonic Cemetery, Louisville, Mississippi. He marri ed Mary Elizabeth Davis at Chester, South Carolina.

H. Kirkpatrick Dead: It is with regret that we are called upon to chron icle the death of another one of our oldest citizens, Mr. H. Kirkpatric k, who died at the home of his son, R. E. L. Kirkpatrick, on Monday nig ht, January 9th, 1905. He had been in failing health for a year or so, b ut had only been confined to his room little more than a week. Mr. Kirk patrick was in his 75th year and had been a merchant of Louisville for a n umber of years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a Mason and w as a substantial citizen of many worthy qualities in whom all his acqua intances had confidence. He leaves a wife a number of devoted children a nd grandchildren. His remains were laid to rest in the Masonic Cemetery .

He was married to Mary Elizabeth "Nancy" Davis in 1853 in Chester Co., South Carolina.⁽⁵²⁹⁾ Mary Elizabeth "Nancy" Davis was born in Mar 1837 in South Carolina.⁽⁵²⁹⁾ She died after 1910. ⁽⁵³⁰⁾ Henry Kirkpatrick and Mary Elizabeth "Nancy" Davis had the following children:
