Her sister, Clara Daisy called her Bessie and kept a picture in a frame on the wall of her bedroom in her home at 25 W. Home St., Long Beach, CA. As a child, Carol Shepherd, her granddaughter, always knew Bessie was close to her grandmother's heart.
